Lars Pettersson, is a research collaborator with Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) in the project "Restructuring Large-scale Housing Estates in European Cities: Good Practices and New Visions for Sustainable Neighbourhoods and Cities", founded within the Fifth Framework Programme of the EU. Lars is post-doc researcher in Economics at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), Jönköping University, Jönköping, Sweden. He defended his PhD dissertation "Location, Housing and Premises in a Dynamic Perspective" in Economics at JIBS in January 2002. Lars is a member of the research group "Globalization and the Welfare State" at JIBS. He is also co-ordinator and manager of the program "Urban Management and Renewal" at JIBS, which is offered in collaboration with the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. During his career he has been co-ordinator for the MSc program in Economics at JIBS. Lars' main field of research is within the area of regional and urban economics, with special focus on the housing markets and residential location. In his research special attention has been paid to dynamic performance in these markets. One part of Lars' research also focuses on regional growth and attractiveness in the local economic environment. Lars has made a number of applied studies, both of "Stated Preference" and "Revealed Preference" type.
