Stephen Hall has been a Lecturer in Urban and Regional Economic Development at CURS since September 1995. He was previously a Research Fellow at the University having completed his doctoral thesis on local economic policy there in November 1993. His principal research interest is in area regeneration policy in England. He is increasingly involved in comparative research. Stephen has undertaken research on area regeneration and neighbourhood renewal and has wide experience of evaluation of local regeneration projects in different parts of England. He has undertaken research into partnerships, housing and employment aspects of area regeneration policy in Britain and Europe (particularly France) for the European Union (LEONARDO), Housing Corporation, British Academy, British Council and Centre National des Recherches Scientifiques.
